This was a short quick read. This was a sweet love story Jake and Rose spent summers together when Rose comes to her Aunt's house in Venice Jake lives there. They became each others first and remind friends 20 years later. After his divorce and when her husband dies Jake shows up and these two pick up where they left off. This was a good read that I wished was longer. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.Product details

My Only One edition by Lacey Silks Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
OMG....first love. She leaves for what seems like a lifetime. She goes back home and she meets up with him. And there he is. From a boy to a man. Oh man...I loved it. She gave herself when she was a young teenager and now when she is a woman. He wants to be with her and wants her to be her last...OH it was soo sweet. A quick and must read.
It had everything I would want in a short but usually don't get. We actually get a feel for the characters and their connection as teens. This is important because the interaction as adults would mean nothing without the back story. The sex was sensual and erotic. While their love really was true, I would have liked the story to be a bit longer.
It's totally unbelievable that twenty years later he doesn't have kids. Her husband must have been disgusted with her when he realized she was pining for a guy from twenty years ago. Maybe that's what killed him.
I can't say that about a lot of short stories, but it at least had an ending. Although the story left much to be desired.
It seems to me that this relationship was purely one sided, poor guy. I guess true devotion is something that chicky could not grasp. She needed an immediate replacement for her first love, and that's just sad. Scrapping him for another guy as soon as the opportunity arrived, and not even really feeling bad when the replacement kicked the bucket. She was more then willing to string her old flame along a bit more.
I am so happy this is only a book, and not a true story, because there would be yet another woman out there making the rest of us look bad.
A sweet love story reuniting two lovers who lost their virginity to each other twenty years ago. The romance is strong and long lasting. The story is told from Rose's point of view and she has never lost her feelings for Jack even though she married another man who died two years earlier.
Jack never lost his feelings for Rose either and he came back to her. While the romance in this story is good, I found it a bit cliche-ish as every obstacle a couple could face somehow had happened to them. The one sex scene was much like the rest of the book. Very sweet and tender, but if the reader is looking for graphic language or kink, it won't be found here. That fits with the overall mood of the story...a lot of romance and a bit of steam. Three and a half stars.
I guess I got mixed up on this one, I thought I was reading my first, my last but it was not. Rose met Jake 20 years ago when they were both teen agers and she gave her virginity to Jake. They let each other go and dated other because a long distance relationship is hard and they were young. She went to university and got married. She continued writing to him though married and when he husband passed away she went seeking Jake to see if they still felt something for each other. She told him he was her first and he told her she was his last. It is very short but there was a hot steamy sex scene. In it. We don't know if it was a one time affair or if they stayed together. I still loved the story.
This is a fast, erotic read. It is the story of two teenagers, who spend a couple of summers together when Rose comes to her Aunt's house in Venice. Jake lives there, they are each other's first and the two begin a love story that will span twenty years, even though life gets in the way, they still write to each other and remain friends. She helped him through a divorce, he gave her advice while she was married to Tyler. Now a widow of two years, she answers her door to find Jake standing there. Not the sixteen year old, but a grown man. He says he needs to talk to her......well, .....the talking, his words, what he had to say, was enough to get my heart pumping, but what comes after just melted me as I sizzled in my seat!
